I was delighted to be re-elected as a Parish Councillor this year. At the Annual General Meeting I was elected as chair having been vice chair for 4 years. After the Parish Election I was pleased to welcome back Cllrs Shirley Brooker, Rob Anderson, Pav Mann and Sean Wright. I was further pleased to welcome new Councillors Mohammed Ilyas who is now vice chair and Aminah Ilyas. I would like to thank Paula Murphy for her long service as a Parish Councillor and mourn the passing of John Finn who served as a Parish Councillor for many years.
The Parish now has a new company running the Parish bar. I would like to thank
Nazar Lodhi who transformed the bar and opened up a cafe. The bar is open Tuesday – Saturday 12-11pm and Sunday 11am-8pm
We have a community hall attached to the bar which is available for hire at 15 Pounds per hour to Parish residents and 25 Pounds to non-residents. I am pleased to report that it is used regularly by several community groups and Charities.
